Jul. 31st, 2005 01:28 pmThere are a lot of things that boost my mood, but I’ve been reminded that one of these is definitely dancing with Tony Molek. July 30th is officially declared International Tony Molek Day. (Shannon didn’t think that “National” was good enough.) David’s wedding was a good time- it was really nice to see the neighborhood crowd, and to remember that there really is Community to be found among neighbors. Even if I did tell them that this was their behavior test to see if they were appropriate enough to be invited to any wedding I ever have! I liked catching up with them. David and I had our first dance, and he was so happy (about Melanie, not about me so much) the whole evening. Also, Tony is really hot, and incredibly nice, and called me “Babe.” I love how genuine I really think he is. He was glad to see me. We danced and chatted a bit, and it put me in great spirits.
Annette’s bachlorette party was fun, for the time I was there. I was is a great mood from David’s, which was helped by watching “Roman Holiday,” eating smores, and getting to hang out for a while. I even drove all the way to Annette’s and back (including on 35W!) with really no problems, which made me proud. I then proceeded to stay at Shannon’s for a while, even though we had left Annette’s tired, until we had one of those moments where we say, “Hey look, it’s getting light out!” I got home at 5:30, slept a few hours, and then got up to watch my 3-year-olds sing at Mass this morning. Gosh darn, they are cute! Not to mention, Wild About God! Nerds, all of us.
Tomorrow, I head to Omaha, and I expect times of goodness. :)
