I suppose I really do like people. :) I spent yesterday with Annette and Shannon, and it was a really good way to spend the day. We went to lunch at the cafe at The Resource Center of the Americas, a place I've been wanting to check out for a while. Good food, and then we played at the Center's bookstore. I might have continued on with that thing I did the last week of CVV- I threw the budget out the window. So I bought a pretty new book that I've been looking at for some time, and I'm excited for it- The Impossible Will Take a Little While. We spent a lot of time just talking, and it felt so good to actually connect with people again, to sit around at a table together, eating and discussing whatever comes up- intense or not. That helps me realize that hermit-ing all day in my house isn't the only way I should be spending my time. It helps me remember that even when people have separated, we've still grown up together.
I also talked to my Wife the night before, as well as William and Caitlin, who are out in Portland visiting my dearest Katie. It's amazing how even though we haven't lived together for a year, we still work together so well. Cait talked about all the excitement coming up in her life- a new house they found, a stereotype-breaking trip out west, and all that goodness. William and I caught up as well, and it's neat to see growth between us, too. He apologized at one point for how he stopped calling me. I really appreciated that. I'd never told him that I'd felt pretty hurt by him when he stopped calling, and stopped being responsive when we did talk every so often on our Tuesdays. It felt good for us to be able to acknowledge that. He's not the type who apologizes very often at all, so I really respect that he did it. Katie never fails to understand so much of how I function, and we support each other in such a good way. She and I have such a similar understanding of how we've grown the past three years, in similar and non-similar ways and experiences. Plus, she understand the wonderfulness that is Eric Schliemann! ;)
I guess I really do function so much better when I spend time with people. They make me feel so much wholer. (Is that a word?)
This coming weekend, Victoria and Jessica are coming to visit, which will be BEYOND FUN! We'll play Bop-It and beat each other up (in a non-violent way), and do all sorts of things that are FREE! I'm excited for it.
Also, I think I'm coming to Omaha for a few days during the first week of August- the 31st (July) through the 4th or 5th, I believe. Hooray!
GOAL: Do some resumes before Vicky and Jess get here! For real!

Budget, schmudget. Who needs it? Oh wait, me, the broke one. That's why we are doing free things in Minnesota. Like bop-it. And perfecting our ESP. And throwing popcorn at you whilst we watch movies (I really like the word whilst). You know what else is free? Prank-calling people. Let's do that too. No, let's prank-call boys.

p.s.- I love that someone still calls me Victoria. =) Even if you don't fit the qualifications laid forth sophomore year...A boy who likes pizza and peace, calls Vicky Victoria........

I remember that I started calling you Victoria b/c it was funny- what a funny name! And then it stuck. And then it became a qualification for boys.
Hey, I like pizza and peace, and I'm not currently in any relationship... :)
