Woke up this morning at 8:40- the time I like to leave the house by. Skipped breakfast and rushed to get ready. Managed to leave the house just after nine. As I biked to work and went over the occasionally treacherous bumps on the path, I had (as I sometimes do) recurring visions of falling off and breaking a bone or two. Got right outside Oak Point, went over a steep little bump (I think), and next thing I knew my bike and I were on our sides on the lawn. I was pretty much physically okay, but I was really shaken up. I went in to the school just so I could calm myself down in the bathroom, check for damages, and shed some tears. I HATE being late for work as a general rule, plus waking up late, so I had already started off the morning really frazzled.... I was pretty freaked out after that fall. Scared. Glad I wasn t hurt worse, but I had been scared I could get hurt, and.... This entry isn t written with very nice prose or grammatical flow, but.... Okay. I am going to go examine my limbs for more surfacing scratches, take a shower, and go to bed at a decent hour so I don t oversleep again tomorrow. I m so glad to be leaving town this weekend. It ll be so good to see Victoria, as well as Colin and that town I am becoming so comfortable in.
Current Music: Sing It Down- SOA protest songs. “We re here to tell you this SOA shit smells, and we re tired of holding our noses / We will fight it with our hearts, we will fight it with our voices / We ll fight until it closes ”
