I feel so accomplished. I just put together to send out the remaining five of my six references that need to be taken care of. Soon, I will be an ‘official’ employee of Children’s World, as well as a nearly accepted social work major! (Only a five-page essay left for my part of that.) I also filled out a job application for part time hours at Gymboree, since I don’t know if I will be able to get full time hours at Children’s World for the rest of the summer. I know it doesn’t sound like much, mailing out five things, but it took some time. Lots of enclosed, stamped, envelopes and notes to accompany each referral sheet. It’s so nice to have those all done, and now I can just sit back and wait for Jen, Michelle, Kate, Gloria, and Dr. Dittrick to fill things out. Tomorrow I have to car to go to work, so on my lunch break I get to run over to church and to Gymboree. Weee! ;)
Not a whole lot else has been happening around here. Work is going well, but still tiring. I’ve developed a new hobby for the summer, that is, wracking up a phone bill to Omaha. I’ve now called Jen, Vicky twice, and Codak, all since I came home. It’s okay, though. I know it won’t be like that all summer long. And I get to see Victoria and Colin (and maybe Jen and Codak, not sure) this weekend!!!! Hooray!!!
Mana left Friday for Mexico for the month. This is very strange. I miss her already, but it’s been okay so far. I’ve been keeping really busy just with other things, so there hasn’t been a lot of empty time to dwell on her being gone. She emailed me today, and that made me smile. :)
Saturday night, I hung out with Shannon, Aaron, Sara, and Kari. It was a fun crew. I hadn’t seen Aaron or Kari since January I think, and Sara, not since Thanksgiving. So we got to catch up, eat good veggie subs at Quiznos, watch “Hair,” call Strampe (only to find out she has a social life), and just hang out. We watched the movie over at my house, and that was nice. I have people over often enough just to talk, but rarely to watch a movie and really invade the place. My parents were happily surprised to see a flock of people over when they got home from their movie. Then I took Sara and Shannon home, and as always, ended up staying at Shannon’s and talking until all hours. I saw two police cars on my way home at two-thirty in the morning, and the lights were still on at my house when I pulled in, so I was briefly concerned that my father was up and intently worrying about me. He was up, but not really worried, and definitely not upset, much to my happiness.
That’s about all in my life right now. I’m excited to go to Omaha, I’m excited for Jen and Codak to come visit in July, I’m excited to see Mana again, I’m excited to maybe have another job, even though that would mean less time at Children’s World, I’m excited to be mostly done with my stupid formalities.... It’s all good. !!!!

Every time you write "Omaha" I read "Osama." It took me a while to figure out why you were racking up a phone bill calling Osama. He doesn't seem like your type. I've been reading too many newspapers.
