APO, schmapo
Jan. 18th, 2004 06:56 pmIf a bunch of APOers get murdered tonight, it might be my fault. The conference was a good time for the most part. It just meant that Jill and I and enough others about lived on campus for the weekend. (Living on campus? What an idea!) But it also meant that we didn't get nearly enough sleep and didn't stop moving for a long long time. On the go, on the go. And when the hosting chapter of a conference has less than half its execs in attendence, um, that might look really bad, and it might leave us too short-handed. So yeah, awesome, it was great how our chapter president and a good chunk of the infamous "APO click" barely stayed through the banquet, heaven forbid staying for the dance.
I'm not going to go into it right now, it's probably not worth it. I'm going to bring it up at chapter tonight, I just want to have a discussion on it. Mostly, I'm annoyed, tired, sore in my miscles, and I scraped up my knees last night on my way in after all the events from yesterday. At least Katie's pretty dress didn't get messed up in the mud.
We had a crowd from Arkansas staying with us for the weekend for the conference, and that was a good time. Even though I didn't feel like I got to spend a ton of time with them, I really do like it when the Community hosts groups.
And on the plus side, I looked beautiful last night, and I had a ball dancing my rear off, as I told John from SLU I would. I had three of the most beautiful people as my dates, and they bitched with me and danced with me and kept me happy. So I got to share my table and happiness with the wonderous Jill, Julia, and Taylor. They've kept me more sane than I otherwise would be.
