Dec. 1st, 2003 10:23 pmSometimes, I do think it would be okay if males I live with would cooperate. Why does taking a nice Community picture for a Christmas card have to turn into a battle? Isn't it okay if I want a picture with everyone smiling nicely and sweetly, without bunny ears or antlers behind my head? Why is that a difficult thing to accomplish?
On other notes, I have: crushes on boys, crushes on boys. After mass last night we hung out for a bit with Pat Geske, and that was fun. Ryan told me I was blushing, but I told him that was a lie (especially since he wouldn't have been able to tell in the dark church)!
I've been working on a paper pretty steadily tonight, and I'm actually pleased with it. KP gave me a good way to go about writing it, and it's been writing itself ever since. I love it when people know me well enough that they understand how I best study/work. Katie knows how I am when it comes to papers, so she suggested a project that would suit my writing style- journal format. And even though it's for our literacy class, it's all about practicum. That adds up to quite a bit of material I could use- a nice change of pace from struggling for sources and ideas and professional sounding phrases.
The next few weeks are going to be insanely busy, but I think it will be okay. I'm working on a list of things to get done, and it might help. If I wasn't already behind, that is.... It'll be all right, though. It has to be.
Katie and I are going to bed by midnight tonight, and I am going to get up and go to school early tomorrow to get things done. Oh goodness.
I saw the Truempis on Sunday morning before I came back to Omaha, and I still adore them like nothing else. They just make me feel so loved and missed and appreciated and smart and wonderful- plus they're wonderfully fun to be with. I really just appreciated catching up with them, seeing how much they're all growing up in the very few months that I've been gone. They're doing so much, and I love being a part of it. I'm excited to hang out with them over winter break.
And, I am still in love with everyone from the SOA trip. Even when it's hard, they energize me.
That's what I've always said about Community, isn't it? Even when it's hard, it's good, and I love it. I think that's what love really is, that's how you know you really are head over heels for something. Even when you hate it, you don't.
