Once upon a time, two people had a particularly hard break-up. Then, three years later, apparently they were able to email a few times over the course of a couple days, and to the astonishment of the girl, things seemed okay and ohmygoodness maybe even healthy and 'normal.'
And yes, that boy confirmed he was the one the girl saw driving last night.

No kidding! I was feeling a little strange after seeing him in his car last night, and then I came home, and he'd sent that email back to everyone- including me- about movie night. So I wrote him back, and he wrote back, and now I wrote back, and that's where things are. I can't believe this. Nothing intense or in-depth, but oh very definitely civil. Wow!

It's funny, but until yesterday, I'd talked with him mom more recently than I had with him- and I ran into her well over a year ago. But yes, I'm glad too.
