terrypurple73The crankiness that I have been feeling lately goes something like this:
1. I was tired of people in general all weekend long. Heck, all week long. There were too many of them. Always at my house.
2. I suck at studying.
3. The most recent boy I had a crush on had a date last weekend.
4. I got honked at while I drove my van yesterday. And no one has been coming to the service site for weeks.
5. I am leaving Creighton in less than two weeks. Granted, I’m coming back. But people I love I will not see for a long time. Some of them, who knows if ever. I’m trying not to let myself think about this. I’ve only cried once. So far.
6. I still suck at making myself study.
7. I didn’t need to add reasons last weekend to the list of why I don’t drink.
8. I don't know how to show empathy sometimes when I am having a hard time feeling empathetic to a person's situation.
9. I don't like being vague like that, but I've had to be with too many recent events.
The happiness, though, goes something like this:
1. I got accepted at Salvation Army for practicum next year!
2. I got an A- on my salvation paper.
3. I only have three finals.
4. When that most recent crush was telling me about his date, he held my hand and he said he wants to see me before I leave for the summer.
5. Friendships I have made this semester alone have amazed me. Mei Li, Mandy German, and Kat- I’ve grown closer to all of them, and all in the past few months.
6. It amazes me how much some people (like Shannon, Mana, and Vicky) never fail to understand.
And the other realizations go something like this:
1. Cat Stevens and I are involved.
2. Community living is wonderful, but it can be damn challenging. Maybe that’s part of what makes it so good.
3. I have not really written in a long time. I should get cracking on that.
